Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and we wanted to get a head start.  A reader requested we make these cute American Girl Sweethearts Candy boxes and we thought that was a great idea!  This is such a simple craft and the outcome is perfect!  This is our last week out of school so we have been keeping busy with all sorts of creative crafts and play.

The heart hole punch is optional.  You can just fold the foam in half and cut little hearts yourself.  Or, you can make the boxes and leave the hearts out completely. However, it kept my little ones busy for a very long time and they really liked making the hearts to fill up the boxes.  You can get one at Michaels for about $4. *If you don’t have foam, take several sheets of paper, glue them together with a glue stick, and use that as a substitute.  By adding several sheets together you will get the needed thickness of the sweethearts.

Materials Needed:

  1. Heart Hole Punch *Optional
  2. Craft Foam Sheets
  3. Glue Stick
  4. Scissors
  5. American Girl Sweethearts Boxes Printables 15 Ct

Watch and give up a thumbs up for Sweethearts!

***Important***Please do not post, upload or sell these printables.  These are property of AmericanGirlIdeas.com and are offered here for free.  If you want to share these printables with a Facebook group, website, blog, or friend, you can simply link back to this post.  Thank you.

Elena: I thought the Green Foam looked really thick too. You can probably find it at Michaels. I would get it on Amazon.com though

Actually, Foam is cheaper at Michaels. So don’t get it on Amazon. I got some tonight! Rudy, how thick was yours? I don’t know if mine is thick enough. I doesn’t seem right ?

I would like to start my own Crafting blog like yours, but I don’t know what to call it! Any ideas? I love the name “American Girl Ideas”, but that’s obviously taken ? it’s ok though! I’ll think of somethin! I just thought I would ask you since YOU are the one who has really inspired me, and has the best AG Crafting YT channel! You seem to be the one who explains it the best! Some videos are really confusing and are very long, when it is such a simple craft! My craft request: a Backpack! My dolls don’t have any, and they need one for school! Thanks! ~Olivia Wilson ?

I’m going to Disney world for 11 days! I was wondering though could you make some Disney crafts? Because I’m going to bring Maggie along and Kit and the pets are going to stay at home. So could you make some Disney themed crafts or some Florida crafts or even hair styles!? That would be AWESOME! Thanks!

      Kaitlyn

P.S. It would be really awesome to do some or even some Disney themed food! Have you ever been to Disney? If you have I would LOVE to here what rides to go on! This would be my 3 time going to Disney and I haven’t been there for 7 years! So I don’t know what rides are the best! And I was looking on Google and their are some 18 inch doll out fits their! So I’m hoping to get one! Thanks Rudy your awesome! Maggie and Kit say thank you too! Thanks!

I’m getting some sweethearts for my daughter’s classroom so I’m going to save the bag and use your printables to put in the dolls pantry. Also, I revisited your mailbox tutorial today because last year Target had sold out and now they have some but not many! ??

I don’t have a heart hole punch, so maybe just a regular hole punch would be okay

Without a hole punch? I think so! The hearts might be different shapes and sizes, but still a fun craft to make for the dolls!
