To get the FREE printable American Girl Invitations, click on the name of the invitation above each picture.  Be sure to add your own party information and your party girl’s name.

Also, be on the lookout for more to come.  Do you want a different one?  Leave a comment to request a different style and American Girl Ideas will design a new invitation!

TIP: One of my favorite ways to print party invitations is to download the invitation and send it to my local photo printing place.  Then it’s inexpensive to get several prints!  I love Target or Walgreens. Be sure to type in all the party information before sending it to be printed.

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to add my party information to these. It opens in a PDF and wont let me edit. What am I doing wrong? I saw someone say to open it in Word but it doesn’t let me. It just downloads as a PDF

I’m just trying to add the picture on the last invite. I can’t figure it out did the text portion. Any thoughts? Thanks for putting these up on-line!! Do you have any thank you notes or party supplies like banners? My daughter has Grace but all the above will do great. ?

      Many thanks!!

Open the invitations in word, pages, pickmonkey or something similar so you can add text to them.

I’m having trouble downloading the invitations to edit them and print them. I have both an iPad and a laptop running Windows 7. When I click on the picture, it opens the card in a small window, but then there is no option to download it or save it to my computer. Am I doing something wrong? Is there any way you can email the file to me so that I can edit it? We want the first two invitations- the ones with the polka dots (both the slumber party and the regular party). Thanks for any help you can give.

You have to click on the words, NOT the picture. So click on the words above the picture. Hope this helps! ?

We are having an American Girl Gymnastics Birthday Party and I am wondering if you would be able to design an invite to go with that theme. My daughter is hoping for a girl on a bar for a picture. If not, maybe a girl doing a handstand or on the beam. Thank you so much.

Thank you for coming up with these great invitations for our daughters. I noticed you posted a new invitation with African American doll, but it was only for a slumber party. Could you please, and I’m saying please make one for just a party? Don’t want to do a slumber party:) Thank you again for this great site

Cute invitations! Question – when you say “One of my favorite ways to print party invitations is to download the invitation and send it to my local photo printing place.” are you able to type your personal information in before printing or do you hand write that in after printing the invite from your the photo printing place? I can’t seem to type the info in before printing?

      Thanks!

Click on the picture you want. When it opens save it to your computer. Once it’s saved, you can open it and edit it. For example, if you’re on a Mac, when you save it, open it, there will be a toolbox you need to click on to show you text options. Insert the text you want for the party. Then send it off to be printed.
