American Girl Doll Printable Books

American Girl Doll Printable Books

Several months ago I did a tutorial on how to make American Girl size books but I never posted a printable to go along with it!  Shame on me.  I didn’t even realize that until someone asked if there was a printable.  Well,  it has been a while sine I did that post and I do not have the file for those exact books anymore.  However, I just decided to make some new ones.  So far I only made a printable sheet for Golden Books, but I do have plans to make Dr. Seuss.  I will make several printables, but I would like to make them per request.  If you have a series that you would like your dolls to have in their library, please leave a comment below with your request.  Examples: Goosebumps(a childhood favorite of mine), Babysitters Club, The Pigeon Book Series(Mo Williams), or anything you can think of.

Please note: I personally made these so they are not perfect by any means.  I scanned older books that I have and some were not in good shape so I improvised on the covers.  You might not even notice the imperfections.  I thought it would add character to the books so they look used for the dolls.

How to make the books

1. You can follow the first tutorial I did and use Mod Podge.  I like this method because it makes the books hard and they can withstand a lot of playtime.

2. You can follow the DVD tutorial and use foam for the inside but instead of making the foam a little bigger than the printable, you can make it a little smaller.

3. You can take a few things from both projects and use paper for the inside like option one, but use tape on the outside like option 2.

I’d love the Little House on the Prairie series. My granddaughters are over the moon with them. I just made them LHITP dresses and I’m working on matching dresses for their dolls. They would be thrilled to have the books for their dolls.

I really liked the Boxcar Children books growing up. There are a ton of those books. I also like the American Girl Girls of Many Lands books.

Out of curiosity, is the Mass Effect cover from a real book? That is so cool! ? Thank you for these book covers!
