American Girl Saige Birthday Party

Have you ever wanted to host an American Girl Birthday party but don’t know where to start?  We all know Pinterest is a good place to start, but sometimes fabulous ideas and creations never make it to Pinterest. That’s why I am so excited to share this awesome American Girl Birthday with you.  However, I can not take credit for the amazing creativity or awesome photography.  I owe that all to our featured guest Michelle of Michelle Levinson Photography.  She is the artist behind this beautiful birthday party.  Did I say artist?  That’s because it’s a Saige themed party!  How cute is that? Please, check out the pictures for yourself below and don’t forget to leave a comment for Michelle and her amazing artwork.

Every birthday needs a birthday cake right?  Well, with a Saige themed party you can’t go wrong with a paint palette.  A cake paint palette that is!  Notice how the paintbrush is a giant rice Krispy treat? Cute!

Speaking of Rice Krispy treats, she made rice Krispy paint brushes for party treats.  They are dipped in chocolate.  There were also pretzel paint brushes dipped in chocolate and displayed in a paint can!  You can get the brand new paint cans from Home Depot.

Since this is a Saige themed birthday party, putting the napkins and forks in paint swatches is genius.  I’ve always liked this idea for parties anyways, but when it matches the theme it’s even better!

You can see that the water and sports drinks were wrapped in custom labels-“Creative Juice” with a picture of a paint palette on them too!

Moving on to some fun party activities.  Everyone knows the story of Saige right?  So you know the significance of the hot air balloon.  Well, this activity was sure to bring out the artist in every guest as they painted these hot air balloon sun catchers.  It’s smart to have activities at a party and I always like my sit down activities to start as people are coming in.  That way as people show up late, it doesn’t interfere with the party and everyone can enjoy the activity.  If people are too late, you can always stash their activity in their party favor to take home!

The little art easels were made from popsicle sticks.

It’s not a party without Pin the Tail on the Donkey!  Or, in this themes case, Pin the Tail on Picasso!

Now it’s time to say goodbye to all our friends, but you can’t let them go without a fun party favor to remind them of the fun they had at this party.  The party favors were little paint cans that held an American Girl bracelet and lip gloss.  Plus they got to keep their sun catcher!

Thanks for sharing Michelle!

I love this party idea. The creativity painting projects and giveaways are great. I recently got a Saige belt project from Michael’s art & craft store. It was on clearance.
