American Girl Hairbow

American Girl Hairbow

A few nights ago I was making some new holiday hairbows for my daughters.  Yes, I am the type of mom that likes to have a thousand sets of bows for my girls and every outfit needs a new matching bow.  It’s just how I am.  I have no shame, especially since I can make them myself!  Anyways, my daughter comes in the room and asks me to make her doll a matching one.  I gasp as I think that’s a great idea!  So, now we are on a mission to create matching hairbows for each of the dolls outfits.  This is so much fun and so easy.  That’s why I wanted to share this easy tutorial with you.  You can learn how to make an American Girl Hairbow too!

Is it possible to do this with something other than a glue gun & hot glue? It is uber messy & it really smarts when it gets on your hand! *And, no…before anyone thinks I let my 8 yr old granddaughter use it, I don’t LOL! Just clumsy ol’ granny!*

You can use a fabric glue or tacky glue, but it will take much longer to dry. So you have to hold in place.
