American Girl Doll Z Yang Desk Set Review
Included in the collection of American Girl Z Yang is a desk set for $125. I really like this set a lot. The armoire itself reminds me of the storage tower that is now retired by AG. It looks like they took the structure of the tower and revamped it! It’s so cool. The armoire is wood and the fold down desk is plastic. If we get enough interest and requests, we will replicate this set! Out of wood I hope! However, I wouldn’t mind doing it out of foam board if needed. Leave your preference in the comments below.
Some things I didn’t like about this set. There isn’t much. First, the chair. What a let down. I don’t mind the plastic seat, but the legs and wheels?! I was expecting a similar base as Melody’s from her recording studio. It doesn’t roll. No casters. The wheels are a set plastic. Second, and this isn’t a big deal, but I wish they would have included a keyboard, a mouse, and maybe even a fun mousepad. Without the keyboard it’s just a monitor for the laptop. But with a keyboard, she can use it as a computer when her laptop is put away. That’s just the blogger in me talking.
Some things I loved about this set. The structure is solid. It is very spacious inside. Not only does everything from this set fit inside the top portion, but her filming accessories fit in the top also! That still leave the bottom part free for other fun stuff! The magnetic board is really cool and it comes with magnets to use plus you can add some of your own! The blackboard on the front really works! Phew! I was worried it might be like the Gourmet Kitchen black board where you couldn’t write on it.
