It’s been a few weeks now since we have welcomed Grace Thomas the new GOTY into our doll home.  We completely made room for her and even made sure she had her own bed to sleep in at night!  My daughter had fun cutting out pictures from the magazine to hang on the wall and even helping mod podge Grace’s new dresser.  I have shared most of the projects and tutorials for Grace with you already, but there was just something missing.  When we placed Grace in her room, we had Bonbon on the bed with her.  Then, we used some scrap fabric and just made a little doggie pallet on the floor next to Graces bed.  Just recently my daughter said she did not like how Bonbon was just placed on the floor.  What?  I kind of laughed to myself because she was serious.  So, we brainstormed on what we could do for our precious little Bonbon.  That is how this craft came along.  We had a problem, and we fixed it!  I hope you enjoy this craft yourself or as a fun time with a child.

Materials Needed:

  1. Scissors
  2. Tape
  3. Mod Podge
  4. Scrapbook Paper
  5. Paint Brush
  6. Pencil
  7. Cardboard box (cliff bar box, granola bar box, fruit snack box, pop tart box, etc.)
  8. scrap fabric

The video will show you how we made a throw out box into a pet bed.  As for the cushy comfy inside, we just stuck fluffy scrap fabric in it.  If you do not have a scrap fabric that will give the same effect, you can always make a no-sew pillow the size of the inside of the box! Those instructions are HERE.

Aren’t these pictures just too sweet?!  I can say without a doubt, that Bonbon LOVES her new bed!
