How to Make an American Girl Doll Cast

A doll cast has been requested so many times! I can’t believe we haven’t gotten around to making one yet. My friend Kathy and I started talking about it recently and she decided to give it a go. She made several types, one with hot glue, one with silicone, and one with t-shirt material. I like the one we made from hot glue, but I think I have a few more ideas. Maybe we can make a new type soon. Check out Kathy’s version in the pictures below, and watch our video to see how it’s done!

Materials Needed:

  • Hot Glue
  • Saran Wrap
  • Doll Sock
  • Craft Paint/Nail Polish

Watch and tell us why your doll needs a cast!

The reason she needs a cast is I’m doing a stopmotion with my friend about our dolls visiting each-other and, in the process of getting ready, Saige falls of the roof!
