DIY Lifeguard Chair

DIY Lifeguard Chair

Pool time is here and with the adorable Lifeguard doll from Our Generation you will need to set up a lifeguard chair! This can be by your doll pool or even for a beach set up! There is a lifeguard chair available from Battat at Target, but if you need multiple or just feel the DIY spirit, this craft is a lot of fun. What I love about this craft is that you can give it your own style by painting it whatever you want and you can change up the back of the chair design. I left the round ends from the craft sticks to give a fanned look, but you can shape them differently!  You can also add little hooks on the side so your doll can hang items. If you do craft this lifeguard chair, be sure to tag us on social media!

Materials Needed:

  • Giant Craft Sticks *found at Walmart
  • Super Huge Craft Sticks
  • Hot Glue *or school glue, just prepare for extra drying time
  • Scissors
  • Paint

Cut List:

*This list is not exact. You may find yourself adding a few more or a few less depending on extra supports or doubling sticks for thickness.

  • 22 @ 5.5″ Huge
  • 4 @4.5″  Huge
  • 4 @ 8.5 Giant
  • 4 @ 7″ Giant
  • 4 @ 9″ Giant
  • 4 Giant cut top at an angle
  • Extra craft sticks all sizes for back supports

Watch and create one for your doll pool or beach!

The chairs look awesome! Can you make Tenney’s room? And do more re-wig doll videos? Thanks!

I think this plan has the capability to be converted to Annirodack chairs for lounging on the patio at you summer home in the mountains away from the heat in New York City.
