American Girl Goldfish Printables

Yay!  We finished another fun printable for our dolls!  Oh, and your dolls too of course!  How about a yummy little goldfish snack?  On this printable there is a goldfish box and mini goldfish bags that come in the box.  When you cut out the mini bags you might notice that the back is a little bigger than the front.  It’s supposed to be that way so when you add the beads it gives a full bag look.  That might sound confusing but once you make them it will become clear.

This little craft is very simple.  I used hardtack paper to make it sturdier than regular flimsy paper.  Once I had it printed out, I covered the image with packaging tape before I cut them out.  Once they were completely covered, I then cut them out and scored the paper where the folds would be.  Make sure to score it on the backside so you don’t cut the tape.  Then I taped the side and bottom. *Note- The bottom of my printable still leaves a little hole.  Whoops!  I didn’t do my measurements quite right but you can either cut the bottom folds a little longer or just fix it with an extra piece of paper from the inside.  Really not a big deal, at least to me.

For the mini goldfish bags I placed tiny beads inside and then covered them with tape.  The tape seals the bag and gives them a finished look!  See Pictures above for reference.

I made the goldfish out of hot glue and I let it dry, then I painted and let it dry, now I’m having trouble peeling them off the parchment paper. What do think went wrong?

I’m not sure. They should peel right off.
