American Girl Doll Redbox DIY

A few years ago a friend of mine made a fantastic American Girl Doll Red Box. She owns a fun doll group Shelly’s Doll World. You should check it out if you haven’t already. Ever since I saw it I wanted to craft it also! We never got around to it but strangely enough there have been a ton of requests to make one lately and it was super quick using the FoamWerks tools! If you don’t have all the materials needed listed below, get creative and improvise!

Materials Needed:

• Foam Board *Can substitute cardboard and boxes!
• Red Spray Paint
• Disney DVD Stickers *Can substitute DVD pictures from circulars OR use these DVD Printables
• Silver Tape or Reflective Scrapbook Paper

*TIPs- 

• You may notice in the video I used an extra piece of scrap foam board behind the red box sign. This was to bring it out a little bit so it wasn’t flush to the wall. You can do either on your project!
• I also put the DVD display case and the red box machine about 1/2″ over the back wall. This way they weren’t beside each other and it looks better overall. Again, you can craft it any way you want! I always like to do a few tweaks here and there as I craft along.
• For the top DVD Rentals sign, I glued it on top of the display case and the scrap piece that was behind the red box sign. You will see this in the video. The plans show it on top of the back wall. Again, preference.
• You can use regular craft paint to paint on the foam board. Light layers is best as you never want to get the foam board too wet. I used a red spray paint, again doing light layers. Spray paint works great as long as you don’t spray on too much at a time! My Red Box is warp free!
