American Girl Doll Storage Armoire

If you need something to store your American Girl Doll in and all her little pieces, this is a great option.  Not only is it a closet for clothes and shoes, but it has a drawer that you can store little things in.  Also, it is made so that it’s just the right size for your American Girl doll to fit in.  When you are done playing, you can put her away in this beautiful American Girl Doll Storage Armoire. This way she stays in great condition.

Kreg Jig or 18 Gauge Nailer
3/4’’ Kreg Jig Screws or 3/4’’ Nails for 18 Gauge Nailer
4 – 1’’ Hinges
3 – Door Knobs

Step 1:

Go ahead and dado the outer wall that will have the shelves put in place.  See picture below for measurements.

Step 2:

Create the two small circular indentions for the dowel to go into.  This will be what your dolls clothes hang on.

Step 3:

Dado the middle wall the same as the first one you did in step 1.

Same as step 2.

Step 5:

This is the start of the small drawer.  Attach the two sides to the bottom as shown in the picture below.

Step 6:

Attach the back of the drawer by nailing into place.

Step 7:

Attach the front of the drawer to the drawer walls with nails and glue.  ** The front of the drawer is spaced differently on each side.  See the dimensions and diagram below.

Step 8:

Use the bottom piece as a support to attach the three structure pieces.  I used the Kreg Jig so it would be super sturdy.

Step 9:

Insert the dowel and be sure to add wood glue to it.

Step 10:

Attach the top of the armoire.  The top is flush with the back of the walls.  This way, there will be 1/2” overhang on the sides and in the front.  You will screw it into place from the inside pocket holes.

Step 11:

Slide the shelves into place.  You can add wood glue to them before sliding them in, but it isn’t necessary as they will be a very tight fit.

Nail the back of the armoire on.  Then add your hinges to the front of the Armoire.

Step 13:

Screw the closet door into the hinges.  Do not tighten all the screws down.  This will help with adjusting the armoire doors.

Step 14:

Screw the doll door into the hinges and make adjustments as needed.

    I love yours. At home i make things for my doll house i don’t buy many things. I love yours more than the AG one
